Question CAN'T FIND INFO ON EAST COAST XPLORERS

yob_yeknom, I tried doing a search on East Coast Xplorers and I can't come up with anything on the web. I tried other searches as well. Is there a web site? Or should I be searching somewhere particular?

I have to say for those who bought a 2002 model, I received today, by UPS a package from Ford, of which my husband is jealous of... it contained 2 of those nice folding director chairs that has Explorer and Ford Outfitters embroidered on the back on them. With a nice carrying case. I am impressed, and my husband can't believe he got nothing for his 2002 F150.

My husband is a member of the F150 World Club, and he enjoys it so much I thought I would join the Explorer Club.

Welcome aboard and you aren't that far from Colorado which is just next to Moab so hopefully we will see you guys at Moab this year.
And no you can't use having a 2000 Explorer work as an excuse for not going, because MMPC took his 2000 last year with less then 1000 miles on it.

Talking Newbie

What's up guys! I'm a new member and I really enjoy this website. I've found so much information that I sound like an encyclopedia to all my other X friends. I'm from Raleigh N.C and I was wondering if there was anybody close to me that wanted to meet up for a little wheelin? My X only has 30' AT's and some Rancho RS5000's but I have ordered the james duff 2.5' lift and a 2 inch body lift. They suold be here in a few days, also I ordered 32x11.50' Bfgoodrich MT's on black rockcrawlers.

Thanks alot and screw those ricer boys! Yeah baby!

US Newbie

Just got my Explorer a few months back and found this very interesting forum. I hope I can add to it as you have before me.
I will be modifying my 96 Xplorer XLT V6 for both show and regular street use. I'm sure I'll need help since Xplorer's are new to me.
So far I've got a Smittybuilt Outland grill-brush guard, Jetchip, Lund sunvisor, Flowmaster cat-back, BBK throttle body, B&M automatic shift plus, and K&N Fipk. I'll get it done eventually.

Thumbs up

Hi,
Just bought an Explorer, here in the UK. :redexp:
I was hoping to find some others from the UK here.
I've been told that there are less than 4500 Explorers here in the UK. I know I haven't seen another one on the road, and only 2 in the showrooms.
I've worked in the States before and want to get the X up to spec. I look forward to learning from you Guys.

I'll have to learn alot about this SUV, and this looks like the place.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I'm sure I'll be asking some questions in the near future. At present I'm just trying to find my way around the board.
My first project will be "Indiglo Gauges", I'll just have to get them sent over from the States. I found the very good "How to" on it.
I think even I could follow those great instructions.
(I Hope).

Welcome to another UK owner
Good luck with the gauges.
I asume like me yours is the UK spec which seems to be a mix of USA specs with some oddballs thrown in.
I'm putting in rear vents as soon as they turn up (should be tommorrow with luck)

Red Exp New (relatively!)

Hi

Registered here in July when I found this site by surfing the web. Grrrreat site! Can get just about every :redexp: question answered.

Got my 91 in '99 when I took it in trade for an upaid invoice my business. It makes for a great survey vehicle. Can get me/our crew to places we had to walk to before.

Took it on vacation to the OBX several times - had fun on the beach. Wife thought it was so comfortable, when I suggested a personal Ex, she agreed. So we looked and found a 'new' 97 :redexp: in May. Loaded! Quite a change from the 4x2 T*y**a PU. Crusies on the interstate at 75 or climbs a steep, rocky road with equal aplomb! Most impressed with the Control Trac system.

Hey...just thought I'd jump in and get started with this Explorer stuff. This looks like a great site and I am sure I will spend a lot of time here. I am coming over from the StangNet website where I have been for 4 years. I am still recovering from letting my stang go. I had poured a lot of sweat and money into it (93 GT Vert) and had it in the low 12 second range...but...it was just getting impractical to keep up.
I love my (new) 99 XLS and hope to do a few mods to it also...just not to the same extreme! I'm in my 40's now and need to keep things on the sane side.
I've got the XLS with the 4.0 OHC with 29,000 miles on the ticker. The inside and outside is mint.
Anyway, real nice to meet you all. This site setup resembles my old stangnet place so I already feel right at home.
