Just wanted to say hello and to introduce my self as a proud owner of the newly redesigned 2011 Ford Explorer XLT that's all for now.

Hi I'm melthesender which happens to not be my real name but that's how the online forum boards go. I came here because well I googled it once and saw alot of real know how to tackle a problem. So I've registered so I could throw my problem at your collective fixing ability.I like long walks on the beach with a double jointed super model with an open minded twin sister. I'm a factory mechanic so I deal with electric mortars more then with the bang I have tools but not sure if I should try and use them.

Hello all,
My name is Tom and I own a 1996 Ex XLT 4 door 5 speed 4x4

. I only drive manual trasmissions, and really wanted a 4 door Explorer to replace my Ranger. Needless to say my search took some time, but I found a beauty. I recently finally joined up, but I've known about, and been visiting the forums here for a while now. Hopefully I can add something to these boards in addition to learning even more.

Just bought my 06 Mountaineer... Im very nervous about the 6spd... does everybody have problems with them? I have 80k miles and have checked dealership service records I can find, and do not see any service to the trans. It shifts and drive perfect at the moment, except there seems to be a slight lag before the power comes all in that the 5spd 04 i also test drove didnt have.. I figured thats probably common with the 3v motor as its a higher peak engine I believe? What should I run for fluid in the trans.. I was thinking the New Amsoil Light Visc Synth stuff.. also, anyone on here have over 80k on their trans without any problems? any possibility it will last?

Also anyone added a k&n in the stock box? did you see any improvement? And are there any silencer or anything that can be taken out of the intake bx area for improved flow like the old marks had?

Hello everyone. I'm JJ Explorer, I've just bought this 1995 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition on the day of my birthday (Feb 4). So far its running alright for now. Just recently got a "Check engine light" 2 days after purchase.

hi everyone , my name is stan and i have a 2000 northface , 4.0l , i have owned it since 2006 and it has been reliable , few prblems starting to appear now !! , thanks to those that answered my first problem , will be fixing it one way or other tomorrow , great site , ps im from cumbria , england
