Hi, I am a new member. I just joined today. I am in the Fraser Valley down in Vancouver BC. I offroad all over in my 03 Ford Explorer sport 4x4. Got lots done to her but just need to get some good tires on it. I'm running bilstein shocks, aftermarket serpentine belt, tensioner, idler, flowmaster exhaust, spicer ball joints, warrior shackles, torsion kit, spicer swaybars. Its been completely changed on exterior and will have a pic up asap. Can't wait to explore the forums!

I'm Jeremy, I live in SW Florida and just recently traded my Pathfinder for a '98 Explorer Sport 2WD. This truck has already shown a drastic improvement in gas mileage ( that's why I got it ) than the Pathy got, plus the advantage of more room. I'm a mechanic so I know my way around a Ford, I've just never been a very big fan of them. I think this truck may just change my mind! Lol! Any way I just signed up to this site to maybe spark a few ideas and I saw there's a parts section to restore my ride to what it sbould be. Thanks for the opportunity, and for the patience in advance! Lol!

Hey all, found this forum when I was searching for replacement rear shackles for a 01 SportTrac I inherited. It's my first Ford, always been a Chevy guy! Anyway, I'm hoping to find out the other strange quirks these things have. These shackles are the worst looking rusted things I've ever seen!! I got a set or Warrior 153 shackles on order (info found on this site). I'm open to any more info and tips I may need to keep this up and running.

Besides the shackles it's in great shape, 142k miles, former owner was a family member (very high ranking Ford Exec.) keep all the maintenance records. (should of known about those shackles, lol!!)

Hi folks. This is Curt from Richmond, IN. I've got an '02 Sport 4X4 and it's lots nicer than my '94 2X. It's got a CD and a cassette player standard! The people at Ford nailed it with this model. I look forward to the meet and greet just as soon as I can navigate this site. see ya then.

Hello to all. I am Al. My wife, Chrissy, and our litter of children (yes, I said litter) and myself are the proud owners of an '01 ex xlt 4 door. Got it back in Febuary. So far we have tried to roll it over, climbed some scary hills, burried it to the rockers in mud, even did some rocks. I found this forum when we lost all but second gear in our transmission while playing in the mud at the mounds offroad park. One week and one transmission later we were back in the mud, breaking in the new gearbox. This is our first 4 x 4 as a family, and we are enjoying our new hobby thoroughly. Looking forward to many good times in the woods and in the mud. If you wheel in mid-michigan, keep your eyes open for a gold xlt full of kids. You might find daboss family stuck in the mud.

Hello, to all. I just decided to take the plunge and join the site. I'm actually on here a bunch, though...but been meaning to join for a while. I just purchased an 02 XLT. It's in pretty good shape already, I guess...but I plan on doing a mild lift and a few basic mods.

Here's a pic:

That pic was taken at the auto parts store. She's already been there a couple times in the last week, since I got her, lol! I get to replace a coolant hose monday, when the dealer parts dept opens. I just love my Fords, though. :

Oh, and I would like to express some thanks to you all who have helped me a bunch already...without you even knowing it.
