Yes, you can, but you don't need to - just RBs spacers are all you need for up to 3" lift. Any more than that and you may end up rubbing the rear drive shafts against the hole in the frame they go through (at full extension). Body lift will get you another 3" and doesn't affect drive shaft angles.

Alright thanks. And when you say to the fender, you mean to the highest part of the fender flare right?

Question lift and safe...

I want to lift (2" to 3") and level my stock Mountaineer 2002, 2WD, 4.6, currenly the front is 1" lower than the back of the car, the tire size is 245/65/17, my cuestion is.. which is the easiest way to level it (spacers or body lift), and to make it safer to drive in the freeway.

Okay, stupid question: Why is the back end of our explorers higher up than the front from the factory? Is this so that when the back is weighted down with cargo in the trunk or by a trailer the explorer sits level? If this is true, wouldn't those that level out their explorers with these lift kits find their explorer looking weird when they have their explorer loaded and the front is higher than the rear??

Not sure... I wonder if it has to do with the government wanting the SUV bumber height to be closer to the height of regular cars. This also may be my nutty imagination.

This nose down situation is the reason that I used RoadBully spacers (2 inch) in the front only. She's now level.

Another stupid question: what points are ya'll referencing to when you measure the high of the front and back of the truck from the ground? The frame? top of tire to wheel well? just wondering... thanks.

you should measure from the wheel centre to the point directly above it on the flare to record your height differences, this removes tyre wear and size

Hey i'm new to this site. I haven't read all 25 pages of this thread so i might have missed this in the thread somewhere but would the 3/2.5 spacers work on an 2002 ranger FX4 ? i have a 3in. body lift already but want to go higher one of these kits would be nice for the money but if it wont work i'm thinkin about going with the 5in. RCD suspension lift for it. Let me know if it will work. Thanks.

I haven't bought the truck yet because I want to find a lift first.

Yes, it will. The 07-up Sport Trac uses the same frame and IFS front and rear as the 02-up Explorers.

hahaha, yeah..... your wheels are obviously unaligned to the naked eye. You don't need a fancy machine to tell you that.

I love the aggressive look though.
