I started the exact same way. Mine has come a long way and is in no way done! LIFT IT! I thought about lowering mine back down and someone on here said " Could you sleep at night, knowing you can't drive over a curb?"

Yeah I know it takes time. I had my Ex for almost a year before I started playing with it. In fact I was ready to sell it untill I found this site! I started with the shackles just to level the truck, it was all downhill from there. The 4 liter let go around 146K, so I took advantage of it to do the engine swap. Now I miss having a true 4 wheel drive and 4 lo, so I'm trying to get some info on the transfer case swap. As I said before, they are never done! I live 5 min. from U of D campus. I do not go there but my GF does. Where do you stay, the dorms?

I live in Cannon Hall, and look up JtSmith, Mountaineergreen, and i think Jefe, they all did a swap for a manual t-case so that would be your option.

at first i made my own little LED strips but i wasn't confident that i could get em to work, so i went to eBay and bought a kit, then i fed the wire through the door handle opening and down through the door and connected it to the curtisey light on the bottom bit of the door.

I bout them off ebay, from a seller named Terrie(numbers) i just looked but i did not see him/her there. um.. i've found that usually that kinda of stuff is good quality. it's nice and bright at night, i just have to redo that one and actually do the pass side over winter. i was lazy on the driver side, and didn't solder it. So if you open the door real hard, it flickers.

Goodluck and post pics when you're done.

Justin

Correct, they all did the manual swap, but they are all 4-doors. I don't know of anyone doing it in a 2-door. The 4-doors have more clearance for the monster 4406 due to the longer wheelbase. Thanks for the info though. I'm not fimiliar with Cannon Hall. Which ones are they?

Ah sorry, i forgot about that tidbit, i'm used to everything being the same between the 2 an 4 doors, but they're the ones right across from the library. across from the perkins student center.

It's in jersey, and i do miss her so. My parents won't pay the $300 for me to keep her here, and i could use it to get myself around to places, but it's at home, so i can only work on it while i'm home once a month for work.

However over winter break, i'm putting new rotors and pads on, new shocks, and a new caliper, a billet grill, 4dr springs, and shackles

My wallet will be hungry for some time.

I know it costs a little for parking and all around Newark. Let me know when you get ready for the leafs and shackles. There are a few cheap junkyards around here for the leafs and I can make you a set of heavy shackles for a few bucks.

No... **Shifty Eyes** i didn't get any lifting done, however, i put in a billet grill, i got new brakes and shocks, and I got 410fortune's black Diamond cut so i did a lot of stuff.. i have a friend looking for leaves, and i may have shackles made, but i'm doing everything cheaply, because i'm getting a 2004 Audi A4 1.8T, so i'm still driving Sue, but she'll be turned into a Trail truck when i get the audi I'm thinking 3" bl 33" muds WarriorTwist.are in the future.
