I just seafoamed my X. I took it for a good rip after I let it sit for a bit. Gooooood lord. What it basically felt like was clear skies in front of me and the THE FOG behind me like I was being chased in the movie. I don't know if it did a lot or a little because I changed my spark plugs afterwards. But after the seafoam and plugs I am still getting my P0443 code but the truck runs perfect with no hesitation or rough idle and my fuel mileage has greatly increased.

Seafoam and the Neighborhood Hero!

Today I find my step-dad fighting with the coolant system on his Blazer. Last weekend I had to change out the radiator so I stopped to see what he was up to and he decided that changing the Thermostat was a good idea after all...whodathunkit??

Well after I change it out I looked in the back of my X, which it just dawned on me is where all the tools were to change the thermostat and now I think I was set up, to see a bottle of Deep Creep. Figured the throttle body was off so why not. Heat it up looking for leaks around the 'stat. Great no leaks!!!! Prop open the butterfly and spray like there is no tomorrow. Let it sit for a bit while I clean all my tools up and get them back in their proper homes in my X.

Everything cleaned up get in the Blazer and fire it up. Hop out as smoke is starting and get under the hood and start racing engine from there. Mr. Hero from across the street flies around the front of the truck FIRE EXTINGUISHER not only in hand but in all out assault mode.

So 2 hours later my skin is still a little tingly(is that even a word) and the engine in the Blazer has been recently steamed cleaned . I am not sure what exactly is in those but it smells like straight a@@ on a hot engine. I did ask the hero what he was thinking and he figured I decided to burn it down after working on it in ~20 degree weather last week in the rain and being under the hood again this week.

Hello

I used Seafoam yesterday on my B2. Some thru the carb, some thru the vacuum for the brake booster and some in my oil. So far it seems to running better. My motor has 340XXX km and was rebuilt at 270xxx-280xxx km. Oil has always been clean with me. It used to run ok and black smoke would come out of the exhaust. Now its a lot cleaner.

I will let you know if it goes to the shits but so far so good.

No, I'm guessing it's there because the intake manifold was removed and some coolant spilled.

HAHAHA! That is a great story. Why the hell would he spray the engine if there was no smoke of flames coming out of the engine compartment? What good would that do? Oh man...haha

As he was hosing me down he explained that from his porch it looked as if he whole thing was going up and he could not see me. Now I believe that it may have looked like it was going the wind was blowing from the rear of the Blazer BUT I am 5'11" and go 250(also pronounced fat bastard) so it is really hard to miss me.

For future reference, Chemical fire extinguishers cause a pretty nice rash on some folks and completely eliminate any chance of a "Good luck in the New year ANYTHING " from the new girl friend
