98 Explorer question on the location of the TCC solenoid.

Im getting the replacement solenoid tomorrow because diagnostics came back saying it was bad. My question is simply, where is the torque converter clutch located and how should I go about replacing it. I have searched the internet through and through only with nothing to show for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed, and moved your thread to the transmission section. This photo should help you out:
