thanks mate makes me feel safe on the back highways i spend a bit of time on (300 mile trip) plenty of 7' roos and dozens of wallabies, even a few emu's. i really dont want to hit one of them all their weight is 4' off the ground and i dont want hitch hikers in my front seat (not when they enter via the windshield anyway)

Thats why I put the bull bar on. Even thats not enough front end protection. I've almost had my front bumper taken off by another car a few times.
Some of these utah drivers are crazy!

beautiful country, beautiful truck
hey kazer if you were chasing a "guard" like this you might be able to pick up a cheap 2nd hand alloy semi bullbar then do your own fab or get your local shop to make it like you want it? just an idea __________________ Me-Greg Lynch,Henson Performance, half hornet scoop, blue cobra stripes,Irvin bullbar, red heeler alarm(my dog),K&N,skid plate 2 1/2" exhaust,265/70/17 AT's,1.25" wheel spacers front,1" wheel spacers rear,CB+dual whips/1981 FLH Heritage Edition-Pamela My wagon Uma

And I finally got some decent auxiliary driving lights installed on the bull bar today (Crummy pic cause it was raining out)

Seeing how you painted the trim piece; a great item to use on the wipers, mirrors, etc...
Mothers back to black. Makes the black trim look like new. (just use on plastic trim)

will this work on painted and clearcoated plastics? I might try this on my back bumper step piece to get it nice and black again.

Should. I used it on my roof rack (black pieces only), mirrors, wipers, trim, running boards when I had em, and the back bumper step. Takes a lot of work to do the bumper step.

Another good product for waxing time is: Meguire's or Mother or Turtle Wax clay bar kit, Meguires Ultimate compound, and then a coat of Meguire's Gold Class Wax. That really brought the shine out on my X.

The new Ex - photos - finally!
Okay, since I've officially owned this 2003 for almost a month, it spent two weeks back at the dealer getting one of the front wheel bearings replaced (dealer paid the work). I have it for a short week before it goes to Denny's in Bristol for a transmission rebuild (again, thankfully the dealer is covering about 3/4 of the cost). So far my "new" used Ex has been parked in the shop more than it's been parked in my driveway. Thought I'd post up some photos so I remember what it looks like when it goes away again! On the bright side, I do love driving it. The 4.6 goes like stink! As soon as I fix the non-working heated drivers seat, I'll be even happier this winter.

Rondo, my "new' '03 EB Ex came with 245s on it (see the pics that I just posted). The 245's look great on the Ex and I have no issues with clearance. I actually think these were the stock size on mine as the door sticker reflects this size as well. Good luck with the new donuts.

Nice last few photos, attack of the EB's! I'm lovin' it. Sucks you've had many problems with the truck, Dlabonte. Hope you get it all sorted and have it back on the road soon. And yes the 4.6 is pretty quick. It surprises a lot of people for an SUV hah.
I posted my most recent pics in the Offroad pic thread, not on here yet; here's one of them in case anyone missed them. A nice beauty shot. .

I thought I'd post some pics since I installed a 1.5" Body lift, new wheels and tires, and a brushguard. Truck is a little dirty, plan on getting it dirtier soon
![]() Next up will be a suspension lift and that should do it for a while. ![]() ![]() ![]()
