Tailgate Removal

I am seeking advice and/or instructions on how to remove the tailgate on my '99 Ford Ranger and install a net. Any help would be great.

All you do is undo the cables that hold the tailgate on and pull it off.

There will be a certain point on the downward arc of the opening tailgate that will allow you to pull one side off. Then the other side slips out.
