Ham Radio - CB - Trail Communications I have found that fourwheeling and ham radio go hand in hand. Post any questions or comments about the great hobby of amateur radio here. Of course CB'ers are welcome also. Ray, AE6H and Joe, N1LVN both moderate this forum.

US 2nd Gen Install Ham Radio Style

Here are my pics for the new truck... Let me know what you think.
These pics are before carpet, and a pre install setup... I have no stock center column, nor do I want one either... TACTICLE!!!

Looks good. Thanks for sharing. So, you're putting the carpet back in, but you are leaving the center console out?

Didn't come with carpet. The center console was trash. I am a guy who likes the communicatios stuff, and no frills. I wish I could post the pics here. I do installs for a living, and love a new challenge. This is a great truck and has lotsa potential. A computer mount and broadband mobile are going in next. Plus a $5,000 in car camera system for police too. So I can record and dump the video for others to see. A really neat system.

Pay 20 dollars here to post pics...
I think paying it in proper advice to fellow Explorer nuts is more value. I think I can help out with proper advice on installs and clean wire free rigs than anything. It's my real job, why not give out the advice for free???
