Question before I spend 900 bucks...

I measured the tires I have now, P255/70R16 and I get a height of 28.5" but the Tire Size Calculator from this web site shows that it should be 30.1"

What am I doing wrong?

Anyway, I want to get 4 new (slightly larger) P265/70R16 Goodyear Fortera SilentArmor tires at Walmart but want to make sure they will fit on my 96 Sport with just Warrior Shackles.

Any opinions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Measure your tire height with the weight off it--the truck is pushing it down an inch, and, 1/4" of tire wear would account for the other 1/2 inch overall diameter difference.

The 265s will fit with no shackles.

Duh, I did not think of the truck's weight pushing down.
Thanks for the quick responses.
