SVO asked me to start this thread for him and post the first picture of his adventure to the Silver State Classic Challenge in Nevada.

The Silver State Classic Challenge is an authorized Open Road Racing event that is run on a 90 mi (140 km) stretch of State Route 318, which is closed for the occasion.

SVO's boss Rick will be running one of his high performance Mustangs in this event.

Carbondale, Co. for a day, then to Ely, Nevada, set-up for the Silver State Classic, possibly run off to Las Vegas to go visit SAI (Shelby Automobiles Inc.) then back to Ely for the events and race, then back to Carbondale, to work on the rental house, then home.

I have cellular internet, but may or may not be on line, I will take a web cam, but still no guarantees, going to be a very busy schedule well see how things play out.

What class is your boss running? My buddy Steve took 3rd place in the Silver State 115MPH class in '06 with his '04 Mach 1. Right now he's the 2008 ESP class Champion in the PA Hillclimb Association.

 






The Car: Shelby GT500 2008

Car mods:
There isn't much left that is stock. Kenne Bell 2.8H Supercharger, Fore Fuel Rails, 72# injectors, Griggs GR40RT World Challenge suspension, Griggs/Sierra 4on4 brakes, 8pt roll cage, Sparco Evo Seats, Ford Racing short throw shifter, Spec Stage 2+ clutch, 315/30/18 wheels on all 4 corners, dual 75mm throttle body, Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump, 130mm Big Oval Air Induction System, Jongblod 305 wheels, Traqmate and Chase Cam setup. Doors are gutted.

Running GS1. 130mph average/165mph top end allowed.
