Wow, March of 1999! It's been that long? I guess I got my first 1995 explorer in Dec of 1998, and wanted to mod it. Took me till March to find this site! Well, I've been here ever since! 9+ great years!

I have been a Ford devotee all of my life, and in 1997 purchased an XL Explorer. I recently have developed an irritating clunck when turning to the right on full lock, as though low range had been selected. Spoke to my son who suggested I should get onto the net and sus out this site, so here I am all the way from Australia.

Welcome to this forum! Check the ball joints, tie rods, bushings, bearings, and any other part which either moves or has an integrated rubber part.

CAN

Was looking at pictures of Explorers on Google, found one that linked to this site, said to myself, "Hey, Self, I bet these folks might have some answers."

And here I am.
