i'd see if you could get them down to 1700-1800. only because the 95-98 front bumper sucks lol.

Sucks compared to what? I find it's strength to be better than the later year's plastic bumper cover... over that small peice of metal you wanna call a bumper.

As long as it's in good shape, that's better than a good deal. It's almost a steal. This time of year, in the northeast, it ought to get $3000-$3500, depending on condition of course.

How well do these engine's hold up and do they have much power. How do they compare to the OHV and the 4.3 vortech
Thanks Hunter

These engines are decent, putting out a good 210HP from the factory.. they have a slight flaw though down the road... a timing chain issue. I don't know too much about it, but someone will comment. I'd say get the truck though.... besides the engine... oh yeah.. and the tranny isn't the best out there... some people report lost reverse.... I don't know the specifics though.... as I was saying... even with these issues... get the truck... it's worth it... you can even bolt in a 5.0L with the 4R70W tranny... near bullet proof drivetrain...

Check out e-bay for relative pricing in your area. I have been watching them (exploders and mountys) in mine. Seems like as the weather gets colder , the prices are going up. Average around me now is 3500, even seen a few that "are garaged, driven only 45,000 miles and they want 8500. (wish them luck) Seems like they are running cheaper in your area and a little south of you. Not endorsing buying an e-bay vehicle, just for research.

Sounds like a great buy and gives U some room to go through it for that low price.
I recently bought an almost perfect fully loaded 99 sport with 137K miles for $3k .
I went through it bumper to bumper before I drove it and spent about a $1K on parts.
I want to drive it for a few years so I checked everything out. The main parts replaced were the front timing chains ,tensioners, sprockets and guides.Mine were still fine but I wanted to increase the reliability as much as I could. Also I replaced the waterpump, and all hoses,no sense putting the old ones back on,front ball joints and upper control arms, shocks, plugs, wires, intake gaskets and misc other small parts. It came with new brakes ,rotors battery, and tires,so I was lucky on that.So Ive got about $4K in it and its a dream to drive.I Love it. Take a chance and buy it U probably won't be dissapointed.
68AMC---WOW what a great buy U found.
