No overdrive
Hey everyone, i'm new here, so bare with me. HA. i have a 93 Ranger and my 2nd gear had completely gone out on me so i got a trans from the junkyard and put it in myself using my buddys lift. every gear shifts fine, reverse works fine, but at first over drive was not working at all. i installed my old valve body from the old trans in the junk yard trans, because i know that over drive worked in that one, thinking it was a selonoid issue. now if i hold my foot on the gas going about 55 it stays in 3rd, but if i;m going that speed and i let off the gas and get right back in it, it shifts into 4th. i was thinking it could be my TPS sensor, but i'm not sure. and when u let off going 60 it just free wheels, the converter is not holding it back at all. let me know if anyone has any ideas, would be much appriciated. thanks.
