Help! My 2005 Sport Trac is leaking antifreeze.

2005 explorer sport trac... Leaking antifreeze...not running hot ;not in oil; strong smell after driving drips on th driveway but not much; temp guage acting funny. Anyone got any idea what this could be ? Vehicle runs fine.

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the 2001-2005 Sport Trac section. Get a cooling system pressure tester from Autozone's tool loaning program, and pressure test the system.

4.0 SOHC?

Probably the thermostat housing. Very typical for these motors. Look below the Throttle Body and see if you see coolant.

You need to look around for coolant, get under the truck to see where its dripping and then follow it to the source.

Mine had a blown temp guage housing as slammed had mentioned. if its that its a moderately simple task. And reminder they have the housing with a tube thats sealed and one thats open. make sure you get the correct tone if is the housing.
