Ok so I got a guy to build my rock sliders and he said he would be willing to make more 8f people are interested.I paid 550 for mine unfinished. If more people are interested he can make them cheaper now that the design is done. Would you guys be interested in a bedlinered or painted set for around 500? This is just a feeler thread but if I get enough interest in these I will buy a seller account. Soooooo let's hear it!

Of course time is money and, although I dont have a 3rd gen, I think that price is a bit on the high side.

I think basically for almost the same amount of money, you can get the material (steel tubing) and a good 115v welder - and come out on top at the end by having a valuable tool (the welder), plenty of experience, and the satisfaction of doing it yourself.

I gonna be using mine as a jack point so I want to make sure the welds are top notch. I can weld but don't really trust my welds holding up a vehicle. Also mine has a mount for my high lift jack and a full size shovel. Anyways let's hear what everyone has to say. Thanks for the input tho keep it coming

IZWACK thanks for that link also!!! my neighbor moved away and he took his welder with him soooo i think i'll be buying my own. what a great price after some research i'll have to order it

how would 400 finished sound? 400 would just be for sliders no jack/shovel mounts. i will talk to the fab guy thats building them but if you want the hi lift jack holder mount and a shovel rack then it will cost more.

Not that I'm looking for rocksliders for a street truck, but if the price is $400 built/painted and shipped, then that is a decent deal. You need to post up some pictures of what people can expect because I don't see the complexity of the rocksliders taking that long to build/weld.

Not trying to kill the thread or anything, just need to see some pictures of what people's money will be buying;)

sounds cool. lets see some pics. im interested

i hope you got DOM for that much dollar

he has my mountaineer right now and mounted them onto my frame today. He took a car lift and put each arm at each jack point to make sure that they can handle the max weight you would need. well he jared the lift while it was about a footoff the ground and they didn't flex one bit! i was amazed how strong they are.

when i pick up my mountaineer this week i will post plenty of pictures. i'm more then happy with them. he will be working on building a front bumper along with a few other toys. the guy that built these does alot of work on tanks and military armor vehicles so he only used armor grade square tube steel. but i can say one thing these are heavy even though there isn't much to them. i would say they are about 60lbs a piece easily
