Cool Where is the location of the stock amplifier?

hi im trying to locate the stock amp for my door speakers in my 4 door explorer..

It is located behind the panel on the paasenger side in the cargo area.

Its a little bit of a pain to remove! you have to pull your passenger side rear seat belt. I had to use a large pipe wrench to get it off. you then have to pull out all those plastic push pins (about 20) that break really easily. make sure to remove the panel that goes along the bottom of the doors, so the back panel can come free.

amp blew up haha

ok so i removed the stock amplifier from the back within the panel and found some resistors that were just fried. Does any one know where i could get a schematics of the amp i just want to fix it and not have to buy another one.

If i were you, i'd just buy an inexpensive 4 ch amp and put that in the place of the factory one! It might be a little more work than replacing a resistor, but I think in the long run you'll be better off!

Or just get a used amp from one of our used parts vendors here. They're crazy cheap- or from a junkyard. For $10 or whatever, it's not worth tearing it open and messing with it, imho...
