I drive a ranger and I am looking to do a V8 swap, I'm in the process of looking for a wrecked explorer. Is there any way to tell that an explorer has a V8 without popping the hood or looking for the little V8 decal by the front fender? I see a lot of explorers dead in tow lots and in peoples yards and i would like to just look at the SUV and know its a V8 before I go knocking on doors.
