What are they and where do they go?
I removed the extension housing of my '94 X to check out the speed governor (works slick as snot
) and while getting ready to button it all back together I looked in the drain pan and found a spring and a nearly half-inch thick by two inch long lever with an "N" stamped in the center. They had to have come out when I removed the housing because I didn't remove the tranny pan.Anyone?

Okay I did some web surfing and found an exploded view of a C3, which is the precursor to the A4LD. This is the parking pawl and spring. Now I just have to figure out how to assemble it correctly!

I have this same issue. Are there any pictures posted anywhere that show this parking pawl correctly installed on the tail housing?
Update: Here is a picture of the pawl in place: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/97...y-in-park.html Last edited by 90Aero; 04-28-2011 at 12:02 AM. |
