94 ranger rough idle

Hi guys I have a 94 ranger with a 4.0 it was running perfect until a month ago all of a sudden I get a intermitten rough idle problem. It seems like it dose it after I turn it on and run it for a while and it cools for a few and then I go turn it on and it starts to shake I've gotten the acasuanl mis fire it sounds kind of like a knock but that dosent happen all the time I'll let t sit there for a few and then it clears itself up and runs fine, I've done a few things that have helped slightly but haven't taken care of the problem.

1. Changed the fuel filter
2. Changed plug wires had a few that were burnt
3. Cleaned aicv
4. Checked spark plugs were all good
5. Checked pcv valve and it was good

I've done some research and i starting to think it's the upper intake rubber gaskets I bought some carb cleaner and sprayed it on the intake and it seemed to clear up I'm going to try it again to make sure. If it is the problem would you guys just recommend replacing the uper gasket or should I do the bottom I currently don't have any oil leaks at all any help is appreciated thanks !

Right but should I do the upper only or lower and upper . I just don't want to do the lower if it isn't needed I found a write up on here already but I just want to make sure I do what needs to be done.
