Missing Design Element

I think the new Explorer looks great! But, one thing Ford missed on is a front LED accent light or DRL, similiar to what Audi has done.

Ford gave the new Explorer rear LED's, but why not a front LED? I think even the Edge and the Taurus have a front LED design element.

I disagree...it has been so overdone and copied already that I'm surprised Audi hasn't moved on to something different.

I concur, LED accents are terribly overused. They often ruin the front of a vehicle by detracting from everything else and saying, "Look! We're copying Audi!"
But that's just my opinion, you can always buy LED bars and put'm on yourself.

I added LED accent lights to mine....in the footwells. My truck doesn't have the ambient lighting, so I installed some white led strips up under the dash in each footwell and tied them to the lighting system, so now when the overhead lights go on, I have lighting at the feet too.

I also agree that the LED accent lighting on the outside is overused.

Yup the led lights like on audi is dated. But ford can't throw everything out on the 2011 model they have to save some touches for the 2012,13,14 year model's so i think they did just great with the first year re-design model!!

Ford is in a position now to innovate, not copy European brands (ahem Chrysler)

Agreed, when audi started doing it it was cool because it was something different. It's loses it's appeal when everyone does it.
