Well before I install the pioneer avh-5200bt I wanted to get some security on the truck so I had the viper 5902 alarm/remote start installed and boy do I love it lol, I also had proximity sensors install to warn away unwanted company next thing I'm gonna do is add window modules and smart start so I can start it with the iphone (wifes phone) she loves the added security and also that the car is either warm when its cold out or cold when its hot out. 2 thumbs up for viper!

i personally dont care for the proximity sensor. when i installed for a living i would always talk customers away from that accessory. i used to call the dei (viper) prox's "ant detectors" they would seem to go off for no reason at all. just a warning be aware of falses with it.

It actually has a lil knob so you can turn it down low and controls the range of thing I have it set pretty low and it only warns away when your trying to look in the window, and of course if for some reason I have my window down and someone sticks their hand in there it goes off in a heartbeat! I'm very satisfied with this alarm and the installation

Does the proximity sensor come with the alarm? like a paid accessory, or is that a completely different piece?
