Question Engine casing # location on 02 V8 Explorer?

Thanks for looking in - I'm trying to replace head on a 02 Explorer V8 and having problem locating casting #. Supposedly their are different head designs - "Romeo" and...? I heard possibly it's located on back of engine....any other places easier to see or get to? Thanks

i remember your other post . . .
I'd guess, Romeo (i worked there a long time ago) and Windsor? But i don't remember.
Try a small pocket mirror?
What about asking the dealer parts guy, give him your VIN he maybe able to look it up?
If you have a junkyard close by, maybe take a look at a pulled motor?
Good luck in your quest . . .

Thanks - this has become a quest! Just got off the phone w/ my Ford dealer - it is a "Romeo" and know to find a replacement head. I'll try the PM you suggested -- thanks again.
