Hatch door handle broken

On my 01 mountaineer my door handle on my hatch has broke and I need to fix it so I can replace my passenger brake light. I went to Autozone and they didn't have a part for the rear hatch and they told me my best bet is to go to the dealership and get it repaired. Is it an easy fix or would it require me to go to a dealership?

Can the mod move my thread to the 01 explorer area I didn't mean to post it in the 02

Alright, would it be an easy fix? How do I go about taking it apart?
