Hello! My 2002 Explorer is sitting at the shop right now. It was working just fine then decided not to start. We had it moved to the shop where they tell us that the Anti Theft has cut power to the motor and the only way to reset it is to take it to a dealer. Is this correct? is there a way we can reset it without taking it to a dealer.

I did ask the mechanic about the little button under the dash and he said that was only for the fuel supply and not related to the Anti Theft thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

You can try another key to see if that works. Otherwise, if you have no working keys to start the vehicle, then yes it has to go to a shop with a factory ford scan tool, not necessarily the dealer.
