5. Since purchasing in early May, I have suffered thru 8 black screens, 4 system resets, constant indexing of IPod, and recently while on vacation, the navagation system kept losing signal. When the system came back on line, the destination had to be reloaded. Dealer is aware of problems but is preplexed as to what can be causing the problems other than to say a "software fix is on the way". Plus they showed me how to reboot the system.

1. Bug
2. XLT Rapid Spec 202A Moonroof, tow package
3. how many miles? 1200
4. MFT version: 2.8
5. Paired my wife's HTC Touch Pro 2 to Sync for her to use when she drives. Ever since then, no matter what screen I'm looking at, in about 1 or 2 minutes a back arrow button and some text pop up overlapping whatever is usually displayed on the top left area of the screen. There's usually no rhyme or reason to what it takes me back to, sometimes it doesn't take me back to anything, just disappears. I've since deleted my wife's phone from the Explorer, but the problem persists. I'm enclosing a picture as well. My phone synced totally fine, did it weeks ago. This happened AS SOON AS I paired my wife's phone. Is a reset in order? If so, how do I do that?

The service manager got a 10 mm socket and wrench, disconnected the negative battery for five minutes then reconnected. The system reset and everything was good to go. Did not lose any settings other than having to wait for my IPod to reindex. It was a lot easier than removing the fuse.

I think this thread should be a sticky.

1.) bug
2.) LTD - 301A, tow
3.) 1100 miles
4.) MFT v. 2.11
5.) Set a destination on the navigation. Pressed the voice button, said navigation, said what can I say? Pressed the down arrow twice (looking at the list) after a period of time the list disappeared and my location was never updated from that point on. Everything else on the MFT system seemed to work except that the system though my car was stopped on the freeway.

1.) feature
2.) LTD - 301A, tow
3.) 1100 miles
4.) MFT v. 2.11
5.) On Auto at 78 degrees, if I press Max A/C all of the setting go down to LO. If I press Auto again it should return to the temperature I had it set to (78) instead it is at LO. Living in Arizona it is nice to be able to press Max A/C to cool the car down as quick as possible but what a pain it is to press auto and then have to hold your finger on the plus sign for 5+ seconds waiting for it to get up to around 78 degrees.

This is kind of the purpose of the my temp button. Set the my temp to 74 or 76 (or 78).. then after you hit auto again, you can hit my temp and you are right around where you need to be.

I would think it counterintuitive to jump back up to an extreme opposite after you just got done cooling off the car.

My iPhone syncs to Outlook and most of my contacts have an address. It would be nice if I could navigate to an address from the phone book.

Don't you mean, "After you hit Auto again, touch the screen to bring up the climate controls, look back at road, wait for it, touch the 'My Temp', let it zoom/rotate, then touch it again to get 'My Temp'"? Yes, voice controls work- if you want to interupt a conversation or radio listening to use them.

That means that you would have to navigate to the climate screen (because I never have that screen active) and then hit the my temp. That is two more steps to do while you are driving.

I don't see any consequence to having the auto button remember your last setting if you are going from auto -> Max A/C -> auto. Keep in mind that this was a suggestion for a feature. I think a lot of us would like this and enjoy it.

In order to keep our feedback organized, starting here please post a bug only if you are running MFT v2.11. If you are running an earlier version (2.4, 2.7, 2.8, etc.), your system is no longer up to date and your issue may have already been addressed.

Thanks!

P.S. We received confirmation from Ford's IVT Team that they do read our bug reports and forward them to the appropriate party (thanks Rebecca!). So, PLEASE, keep those great bug reports coming!

Good idea Baxter. I've also asked JDraper (the forum moderator) to make this post a sticky so that we have an up to date list all in one place.

When going to the Sync site, I only see version 2.8. There's nothing about version 2.11

1.) bug
2.) LTD
3.) 4500 miles
4.) MFT v. 2.11
5.) GPS not accurate or SYNC software not interpreting GPS data correctly. MFT Screen shows GPS icon with red X across it denoting "No GPS" data being received. Immediately accessing the SYNC/MFT diagnostics mode shows 4 satellites are in fact being communicated with. Switch back to the Navigation screen and the "No GPS" icon is still displayed. Switch again back to the GPS diagnostics and now 6 satellites are being communicated with. Switch back to the Navigation screen and now the "No GPS" icon is gone but the red arrow indicating the vehicle location on the roadway is off the road completely.

1.) Bug
2.) LTD
3.) 4500 miles
4.) MFT v. 2.11
5.) SYNC/MFT is in Navigation screen setting with Sirius radio playing and iPhone4 connected through Bluetooth. Passenger initiates a web search using iPhone4 data and Google Mobile iPhone App. The radio stops playing and the SYNC/MFT system initiates a cell-phone call to "unknown number" on call display. When the data session is terminated the call is disconnected and SYNC/MFT returns to Sirius radio playing normal.

Vehicle Specs

1. Bug
2. 2011 Limited
3. MFT version: 2.11
4. When listening to USB before exiting the vehicle, MFT starts back on radio. Equally, when listening to radio before exiting the vehicle, MFT starts back on USB. This happens constantly.

1. Bug
2. 2011 Limited
3. MFT version: 2.11
4. System becomes sluggish after a short full-stop-and-go (less than 5 minutes). Example: Start the car, drive three blocks to a destination (bakery, pharmacy, gas station, etc.), stop for two minutes, start the vehicle again and continue driving. MFT becomes very slow to respond when pressing the steering wheel button and regularly refuses to reconnect to the phone (iPhone 4 with iOS 4.3).

1. Bug
2. 2011 Limited
3. MFT version: 2.11
4. System shows the phone connected (iPhone 4 with iOS 4.3) yet when I try to make a call MFT responds “no phone connected, Sync is trying to connect to a previously paired phone.”

1. Bug
2. 2011 Limited
3. MFT version: 2.11
4. MFT refuses to recognize the “cancel” voice command after a “Destination POI” process has reached the POI name. I say “Destination POI,” the system asks by name or category, I respond “by name.” The system asks where, I respond “search nearby.” The system asks for the POI name, I say it. The system cannot find the POI I was looking for, so I press the voice button and say “cancel.” The system becomes unresponsive. The only way out is to press the back button on the screen repeatedly until I back myself out of the process and into the home screen.

1. Bug
2. 2011 Limited
3. MFT version: 2.11
4. I use Microsoft Exchange for e-mail and connect to MFT via iPhone 4 (iOS 4.3 currently). MFT downloads all contact groups (Exchange contacts, phone contacts, suggested contacts, and global address book) from the phone rather than just the phone contacts list. In my case, suggested contacts contains thousands and thousands of useless entries as Exchange saves any e-mail address I have ever e-mailed. MFT downloads all those e-mail addresses as phoneless/nameless contacts. MFT should either download just the regular contact list (like Sync 1.0 used to) or give the user an option to choose which phone list to download.

4. There is a delayed response (as long as one minute) when pressing the VC button on the steering wheel within two minutes of starting the vehicle.

1. Bug
2. 2011 Limited
3. MFT version: 2.11
4. When trying to use the phone within two minutes of starting the vehicle, MFT will acknowledge the command "call XYZ at work" with "calling XYZ at work" but instead of making the call the system goes back to playing music (radio/USB/etc.). If I immediately press the button again and repeat the command, two things usually happen: it will make the call or it will tell me no phone is paired (even though the screen says the phone is paired) and that it is trying to pair one.

I just purchased this vehicle Saturday. Not great to see this site and so many people with issues. I had hoped that these were older versions, but it doesn't seem so. Also, is there somewhere official where we are supposed to post these so that Ford sees them or do we just have to complain to a dealer?

1. Bug
2. 2011 Limited 302A
3. MFT version: 2.11
4. When I get prompted by the voice to choose from a list, there isn't a list displayed. I usually just guess and say "1". I know there is an option to turn off the lists, but I would like to have this in case it really is not getting it right. I should say the list showed up the very first time I used the nav.

1. Bug
2. 2011 Limited 302A
3. MFT version: 2.11
4. I don't know how to reproduce this, but my system seems to have spontaneously rebooted. I had the car started remotely. I got in and push the break and on button. This normally starts the displays up. However my screen was just black. I thought the screen was broke. However after about 30 seconds a message came up saying it was servicing the system or some nonsense. I take it this is code for it just screwed up and was rebooting. It was a very tight parking garage I was parked in and needed the backup cam so I had to wait another couple minutes for it to finish -- While someone was waiting for my spot. This was very annoying.
