Inside bottom corners of the fenderwells (behind the foglight) and they rub the running boards and the outter bottom corner inside the fenderwell by the firewall. There some sort of metal plate underneath there that ill most likely have to cut out. There's no rub on level ground but as soon as the front suspension flexs while turning (backing out of my driveway) all of the previously mentioned spots rub like crazy. I'll take some pics when I'm done cutting today

I had to trim that piece behind the foglight too.

Nothing else rubs on mine though...doubt the backspacing difference between our wheels is the issue...probably has more to do with the width of those 285's.

well i dont want to start a new thread but my keypad stopped working last weekend. not knowing if i was using the factory code, i accessed my security module located on the passenger side C pillar only to find out i WAS using the factory code. all the buttons on the keypad light up and i can press the "7-8" and "9-0" buttons to lock and arm the vehicle but my factory code will not work. i did some thread searching but couldnt find a definite answer. any suggestions?

http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/...ghlight=keypad

My first suggestion. Ill keep looking...

EDIT: Try reprogramming it. I've read that could cause the issue. Sorry I'm not too big of a help. lol Trying to take my knowledge back to 2nd gens now.

well that thread looked promising lol, i went out and tried all my buttons and theyre all working. i just tried wiping the old user set code and creating my own but no luck. i also punched in my factory code about 6 times and the keypad started blinking rapidly for about a minute straight

edit: found this thread but still no luck http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/...d.php?t=306944

I know how you feel. Its no good.
Between the transmission, engine, and wheel bearings coming soon, I'm f'd too. I'm going back to a 2nd gen V8. These 3rd gens seem to be junk (IMO).
$6000 in repairs already...I have a feeling that will double by next year.

Hope all works out for you.

towing with 33"s and a 4.0 absolutely sucks! the gas mileage is horrible (around 11 mpg) and acceleration is horrible. WOT from a stop and the truck stays around 2k rpms and feels like the engine is bogged down
