Not good....make sure you grease your pins and the aluminum that the pads slide on...

For the rear pads? Any kind of grease in specific?

At the auto parts stores most have it up front in a little pack and one pack is pretty much all you need it goes far its in a purple pack I think it may even say for brakes. You should always grease those when changing out brakes to make sure they slide right and don't hang up like it looks like yours had done.

Thanks glen. Got em greased and everythings workin great. Ceramics for front and rear. They grab hard!
And my old rotors were all warped like crazy. I wonder why....? __________________ -Steve- Mustang GT's 17x8 +24 Offset, 245/65r17 Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10 BTF 2.25" front, 1.75" rear, 1.5" bodylift, Spartan Locker The Mounds 2002-2005 Explorer Facebook Page |

Older wheels were actually Centerline's-they were 15x8.5's and fit much better and were a much better wheel (made in US). Jimwww now has them on his Sport up North (way North). DC-1's have a more negative offset and are 10" wide. Took a decent amount of cutting and trimming to make them fit and they still rub... I do like the way the DC's look but the finish isnt my favorite--stain easily. I wont run them in the winter, but if one did, the finish would be ruined in no time.

Glad to see you out there using the ex. Wish I had more mud to play in here. The trails/logging roads near my house have some good puddles, but they are just that, water. Not many bogs.
Even with the lift those jimmys don't have much clearance. My parents have a olds bravada, and my brother has a blazer, I can't fit under them. The frame is so low. __________________ CB radio w/ dual whips, Front skidplate, 4 door leaf/aal/shackles/TT, 265/75/16 at's My ex

Truck looks sweet Steve!
If I could fit a 285 in my spare tire location I'd upgrade in a heartbeat. __________________ Mods: 265/70/17 Mickey Thompson Baja STZ on 17x8 Black Rock Viper 900B wheels, Bentley style grille, Raptor style LED grille lights, Pacer performance clearance lights, 30" 180W LED light bar behind grille, BTF upper control arms, Fox 2.0 5" travel emulsion coilover shocks in front/rear Truxx spacers, 1" body lift, front skidplate under radiator, recovery shackle mounts My Rig:http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/...47#post3004247 |

thanks James. Would you consider a loadwarrior basket with some lights to hold the spare?

I would, but then I couldn't pull my truck into my garage to work on it (too tall even with just the basket). I guess I could always work in the driveway but I did that for years and now it's kind of nice to not freeze when I change my oil in the winter

Ahh. Well what about a tiregate hg series? and you could carry a high lift jack on it too.
