Someone has probably already asked, but how do I change the bolt pattern on an 8.8 to 5x5.5 easily and cheaply?

You Can't...

you can't change it at all? surely you can

or did you mean not easily or cheaply? i was wondering, i'm thinking about that d44 outers swap in front. but i'll probably be doing a 9" in back anyway so it's a nonissue

moser!!!:D

that's kinda what i thought, but if i'm going to the 9" in the future, i think it'd be best to leave well enough alone 'til then

Moser Engineering and Dutchman Axles offer 5 lug on 5-1/2 " bolt pattern along with new axle shafts. Dutchman Axles will run about $240, Moser $295. The stock 8.8 axle fangles are just barely too short to be drilled out to the new bolt pattern.

Hey Mudd*****,
How do I get a hold of Dutchman? Internet or what?

I got mine from Dutchman too. In fact, I think I was the first! Brag, brag....seriously, though, they seem to be a pretty good product.

Hey Mudd & teissen,

What diameter flange did you go with on the new axleshafts?

Bring out your dead............Bring out your dead threads.............Bring out your dead............

wow a 3 year old thread

never would have realized it was 3 years old unless robb pointed it out. hmph.
