replaced broken passenger side front axle, replaced the windshield washer pump and the windshield wiper motor. The motor is a total PITA to disconnect the linkage for the wipers.

Drove up to Wickenburg today to try our my new Alpine receiver, and newly fixed A/C. I replaced my blower motor awhile back because of a lack of air movement through the vents. The motor didn't fix the problem.

When I replaced the receiver the other day, I saw that the cable for the blend door had a broken clip which was keeping the system from going into the Max A/C mode even when the selector was in that position. I couldn't figure out how to rig the cable to stay, so I manually pulled the cable to the correct position and just left it there.

105 degrees today and it was nice and cool in the Explorer

New receiver sounded good too!

The full doors went on after a year of leaving it sit outside with the tube doors while the Dart was being built. That was a bad idea Now that the doors are on, it's fun to drive around again Didn't do to bad for me on the rocks in Missouri either.

Finally fixed the front passenger and rear driver side seat belts. The buckles were reversed on the belt so the belt got all kinds of twisted when they were buckled. I have no idea how the PO managed to get them reversed. I had a hell of a time getting them right again. One less thing to bug the crap out of me.

Last Friday

My lovely bride comes back home and informs me
" the check gauge light came on and the AC quit blowing cold"

Me " What did the gauges read?"
MLB " idunno"

So, I went out and turned on the key to see the temp gauge spiked-

I opened the hood and saw the upper hose collapsed, and the lid of the reservoir blown off. 6:00 PM and we need to be driving to a family reunion at 9:00 AM next morning.

The "new" as of just months ago thermostat was stukkered. And so was I. I got it all sorted but I was a bit stressed.

The reunion was as exciting as Moline, KS can be, but we did make it.

Just a little add on, installed Philips Crystal Vision Ultra light bulbs. They look awesome, hope they last at least a few months!
