Speaker Dies then returns and static occurs
Hey Guys!
My passenger front speaker would die and then if I cranked up the volume up it would come back on. It randomly did this for the past 3 months. Now, I hear varying levels of static from this speaker (ie it will sound good for a minute then static for a minute). Does anyone know if this sounds like the amp is going or the speaker is going? I plan to switch the two front speakers to see if the problem travels to the other side. |

They are easy to remove, you could swap door speakers as a test. __________________ Jim 2010 Mercury Mountaineer Premier, V8 AWD, 15k 2010 Sport Trac Limited, V8 4WD, 55k 2004 EB Quad Buckets V8 AWD, 105k |

Could also be a loose connection at the speaker. I had this happen to my driver door speaker about a year ago.
