Who got the iPhone 4S?

I went straight to Sprint after work this morning. I got off at 7, the store was opening up early (At 8) to sell the iPhones. I was expecting there to be quite a few people, but I was the first one there. I got a White 4S 32GB. I wanted the 64 but they'd have to order it, and I most likely would have not got it until late next week.

I love it so far, I have not found a flaw yet. (Besides that Siri goes a bit slow when I dont have full signal)

The Sprint worker told me that the 64GB's already have some bugs, about compressing files and whatnot, so its almost a good thing they didnt have those.

Who all got one? Do you like it?

I upgraded to the iPhone 4, 32GB last Monday, then upgraded the 4 to the 4S (iOS 5 software) for free using iTunes yesterday

So far LOVE it and seeing how I'm a Mac user I LOVE the fact that I can sync my iTunes/photos/videos/everything else without even having to plug it in!!

No flaws so far with the exception my camera is a little slow opening/loading up every now and then. Apparently this is one known issue with the iOS 5 operating system already though... buuut I really wouldn't consider that a flaw.

Thats strange about the camera...mine opens up just about as fast as I can click the camera app and move my finger. Wait, its probably because your only on a 4

Thats funny you say that about the WiFi Sync, I JUST set that up and tried it. Its awesome!

Lol, i deleted my comment.. I found that the iPhone 4s actually has the 8MP camera and 1080p video (over the iPhone 4 with 5MP and 720p video). Also, the iPhone 4S has a new processor to gear up for Verizon's (and others') 4G network.

Other than that it's mainly all software.

My 3gs is running IOS 5 now... Typing is somewhat slower... Just short of being anoying.

My 4s has a 7-14 day wait. I pre-ordered it but not soon enough once they started to take preorders.

I have my 4S 32GB black. The camera is pretty impressive for a phone, way better than my 3GS camera, haven't played with video yet though. Siri is cool, but I doubt I'll really ever use it other than just showing off. The battery life doesn't seem to be that great, but I have been playing with it a lot so I'll wait a little longer before really passing judgement on it.

Yea the camera is great, I haven't taken any pictures and uploaded them to my PC yet, but on the retina display they look unreal. I played with mine damn. Ear all day yesterday and I personally thought the battery did great. (Then again I'm coming from an EVO 3D running android, so I'm used to about 4 hour battery life tops when your messing with it)

I had a 3G ack when they came out, and I forget which upgrade it was (Maybe iOS 4?) but I hated the phone after that. Terrible battery life, the keyboard was extremely laggy, and most apps wouldn't even run smoothly. (I think it's Apples way of pushing people to upgrade phones IMO)

I just ordered ours from Apple last night. 32GB Black for Tara and a 64GB White for me... Looks like an early November delivery for us. I also ordered applecare+ for both of them.

This will be a huge upgrade our our current 3G iPhones... We've had them for almost three years now... They've been great phones... But now they just feel crippled compared to when they were new. The app updates really have dragged them down...

My friend has one on at&t and loves it. I have read that 4s users on the sprint network have had speed issues. But that is sprint for you, I cannot stand sprint(i have them now)

The guy at my Sprint store pretty much wasnt going to take no for an answer when he asked if I wanted the AppleCare. He finally talked me into it.

I have Sprint and besides a few dead spots where others get signal, I love it. I hear nothing but garbage about AT&T and especially Verizon. My iPhone on Sprints 3G is damn near close to as fast as it is on WiFi. (Maybe thats normal, but coming from Androids, the 3G speeds were poor).

I have better signal on the iPhone then I did with any other previous phone ive had.

Plus I can use as much data as I want and not get charged, or knocked to slower speeds

I have an AT&T grandparented unlimited plan. I'm not a super heavy data user though so honestly I have never seen the throttling issue...

Most of my family/friends have Sprint, but I do remember a girl I knew who opened up a contract when the iPhone 4 came out, and she was always on the damn thing, and complaining about how slow it would go (I thought nothing of it at the time, but I bet thats what was going on)

After 4 full days with the phone, I still have yet to find anything I dont like. I dont care for the Google Maps app when it comes to navigation, but I dont think thats the phone. It works, but doesnt "navigate" so to speak. It just gives you basically a list, as if you "googled" the directions on a computer.

Sprint is very spotty where I live and their customer service leaves a ton to be desired. I had a phone break under warranty(6 months old) and was told that even though it has a one year warranty they do not deal with it. They connected me to samsung, the phone manufacturer, and I was told to talk with them. The end result was samsung said it would be 2 to 3 weeks for repair, and sprint wouldn't do a damn thing, or give me a replacement for the time being. I had to go by a new phone. During the whole process sprint hung up on me twice, although I had a very nice guy at sprint try and help by doing a 3 way call with samsung and then samsung got pissed at sprint and hung up on us.

That isn't my only time i've had issues either.

With that being said, you cannot beat their unlimited data usage. If we stay with sprint I may move up to an iphone.

Wow thats ridiculous! Thats the total opposite of the Sprint store by me. They will bend over backwards to make sure your satisfied. I signed my 2 year contract back when the Samsung Epic came out. (I only buy phones from Sprint when I have my 2 year eligability), then 5-6 months later I tried the Nexus, then I bought my girlfriend the Evo. I liked the Evo better than the Nexus, so I got one for myself. (Used, from Craigslist).

After a few weeks, it wouldnt charge. (It would but I had to push the cord a certain way into the phone), so I brought it to Sprint, he took the back off, and then no questions asked, ordered me a brand new replacement and it was there the next day.

Just some info for anyone waiting for their 4s (like us) who now has a 3gs with ios 5. Double click the home button (when not at the lock screen) and hold down an icon of an app listed. Now close the apps you have running. It seems the more you have there the slower the phone seems to run.

I went from IOS 3.12 to 4.01 to 5 so I didn't know about using memory for apps that your not using at the moment.

My experience with carriers as been Sprint has good coverage around here (and where we go), has good data speed, unlimited data but cust. service sucks (billing too).

T-mobile has the worst coverage for us but best customer service.

So far, at&t (had them for a couple years) has had good enough coverage, speed is good in most places (sucks in Las Vegas) but is the most expensive. The roll over minutes are nice (we will never run out) and we are grandfathered in for unlimited data (until they get rid of that).. Don't know how their customer service is, I haven't had to use it other than when we first brought our own Iphones into the at&t store and got sims for them. The 4s will be our first contract with them..

~Mark

I don't have a corporate sprint store within an almost an hour drive, they are just small private owned ones, and they do not mess with stuff like this. I called the corporate number and eventually spoke with supervisors there, actually I was told several times they supervisors did not wish to speak with me.
Verizon has always replaced my phones no questions asked. They even gave my gf a free envy 3 when her envy 2 broke.

Sorry for getting off topic.

I'm still rocking the 3GS with iOS 5. Battery life seems to not be as good with the new iOS.

As long as my 3GS keeps on working, I'll wait until the 5 comes out. I didn't see any features (other than the faster processor) worth upgrading to the new phone. I get most of the features through the iOS upgrade anyway. The 5 should be a big enough improvement to justify me parting ways with my $300.

One thing I would like is for the phone to be able to accept a video input. Having a backup camera and using the phone for the screen would be great.
