I have Applecare and its gotta count for something. I paid a extra $100 for it the day I got my 4S. So see if that Applecare is good for something ya know. Not the best way to bring in the new year with a cracked iphone.

I'm gonna bring in the new year with a brand new retina display installed on my iPhone! Gonna fix that little chip I had in the corner.

Thats how I'll look at it

OUCH...

If you bought the Applecare+ when you got the phone then it should only be $50 to get a replacement.

Even though I have the otterbox, I still got a squaretrade warranty on the phone. That way its covered if I drop it in water too which applecare won't cover. The squaretrade deductible is $50.

The otterbox case does make the phone bigger and since its somewhat a rubber outter case it does make it harder to get into/out of my pocket.

For a mount, We use this.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...01_i00_details

Both an uncased iphone and one in an otterbox can fit. It puts the phone in a safe place when its plugged into the head unit. It also puts it where you can see it which comes in handy when I use the dashboard app or when we are running the magellan GPS app. Since its a suction design it is nice that we can take it with us when we travel and have a rental car.

Had a great experience at the Apple store! Went to the Briarwood Mall location in Ann Arbor and I have nothing but positive things to say.

They were SWAMPED as with any Apple store I've ever been in, but within 30 seconds of walking in the "door" I was greeted and pointed in the right direction for my genius appointment. He asked if I had AppleCare+ and I said I'm not sure, I know I have AppleCare but they didn't call it plus, I said I paid the extra $100 at the time I bought it and he said that it's AppleCare+. I only had to pay $49 and he promptly grabbed a NEW replacement not even a refurb, logged onto Sprints website to activate it and I was on my way. Within minutes the phone was back up and had restored all my settings, wallpapers, ringtones, even texts, recent calls, etc. EVERYTHING is restored with iCloud!

Thats great to hear.. Now get a case and cure the OCD

At least throw an invishield (from zagg) on the screen. It will "help" protect the screen but a good hit the wrong way will still break the glass.

The invishield from Zagg is awesome and is prolly the best screen protector I've ever used.

I finally sucked it up and bought one off eBay, its a "hard" rubber one, 3 piece. I only paid about 1.50$ for it

I definitely feel safer holding the phone, it feels more secure in my hands with the case. I like this one too, becuase there is still plenty of room to dock the phone, and plug just about any kind of headphone cord in. (Had quite a few cases for my old 3GS and iPod Touch that made the headphone jack inaccessable for most headphones)

The only thing is that I bought a wide angle/macro lens attachment and it wont fit with the case, so I have to drill out the camera hole a bit.

*See my new thread in this forum for a lens review! Its awesome! Best gadget ever!!

There are 3 things Iinstall when I jailbreak..

pda-net so I can tether when I need to

SBSettings. Pimarily so I can get to settings that apple should have made a quick way to get to in the first place, like brightness, airplane mode etc.

Activator. 3 clicks of the home button and I'm in the phone dialer.

I don't think I'll need to add the backgrounder like I was running on the 3gs.

having to jailbreak to make the phone do what I want is one of the biggest things I don't like about the IPhone and Macs in general. I don't want them to protect me from myself if I don't want them to.

Been messing with Cydia all day, added quite a few sources and found some cool "apps" and some cool packages. I found le of my favorites, it's for Siri and it adds control commands such as "turn off wifi" etc.

Changed all the Siri colors, and the mic color changes with volume

Also a much more useful drop down menu

Got my iPhone 4 feb 2011 waiting for iPhone 5 4S is a waste of money if you have a 4 already new to iPhones then I would say go ahead or upgrading from a older model

The 4S is not a waste of money, I try to get the latest phones and this one is BY FAR the best phone I've ever owned. My boss, her husband, and 2 kids all got the 4, and a month layer returned them because of horrible battery life, constant dropped calls (with and without a bumper/case), and constant freezing.

Ive had my 4S over 2 months now and haven't had a SINGLE problem with it. It's never even frozen up or got laggy.

Don't be stingy. Post the app names.

I meant too...I cant remember them now, I know the Siri commands is like "SiriUtil" or something, but just open Cydia and search Siri (The colored background is SiriColors) and you change from like 8 different colors in the Winterboard app.
