endplay adjust 4r70w/aode help

Hello, on this unit..(my first aode/4r70w) should the input shaft move in and out like a 4l60.. I did the check with the .700(actully .697) bar gauge.. I have 1.636 on the intermed clutch.. and on the hub 1.513.. according to manual its the yellow thrust washer.. but i cannot pull the input shaft in and out.. nor does the manual or the internet show anything like that.. I did the settings according to the astg manual, and according to the 4r70w dirairy.. so is the input shaft supossed to pull in and out once its assembled??

Thanks Don

I'm curious about this too. Did you ever resolve this issue? Is the trans still in service?

Thanks.
