Keyless entry question

hi, can i connect an alarm system to the key-less entry so i can use only the remote that came with the explorer? i don't like alarm systems on cars that have a factory remote controls, and the annoying sound that produces when it goes off

your post makes NO sense. first you say you want to add an alarm to your factory remote. then you say how you dis-like the factory alarms that use factory remotes. do you knwo what you want?

be more clear!

there are aftermarket add-on systems that utilize the factory remote. or you could put the factory remote in a drawer at home and get an alarm that is its own system.

There is an add-on alarm, I think it's made by Autopage. Any Ford Authorized Car Stereo shop should be able to help you. Ask the Parts Manager...
