front right wheel humming sound

front right wheel humming sound

this sounds hums in and out about..hum..humm.. 30 mps and then goes away. Is this a wheel hub bearing? I have a sport trac 4x4 2002. Thanks. This site is awesome.

Yes probably. It will get louder as you drive on it more.

x2 on probably a wheel bearing. They usaully change tone when cornering @ higher speeds.

it was right front wheel bearing hub assembly. no more hummm.humm. Mechanic tried to up sell with 600 dollar charge. appreciate the effort on up sell but i knew the cost of the part.

You should have changed it yourself, it's really not hard. If you can change your brakes you can change the hub.
