Those little spring clips for 1st Gen brake pads

I need a pair of the little spring clips that keep the front brake pads from rattling. I had my brakes done recently, the guy did not install them, and the noise is really annoying.
Got a pair hanging around? I can paypal you for shipping and handling.

Autozone has them for around $5 a pair. They sell a full kit with slide pins for $10. Check this link: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/...91&postcount=9

Niiice! Thanks, you two!
No Autozone on this island, but I'll try O'Reillys and NAPA.

When I checked NAPA and the other parts stores a year or two ago, the prices for the anti-rattle clips were pretty crazy, something like $20+ for a set.

I've seen sets on ebay for cheap, otherwise just buy a box on Rockauto or something, you can get a lifetime supply of 'em for the same price you pay at AZ for four.

I would say you should go back to the place that did the brakes and have them installed with the clips, or at least get the clips from them for free if you're going to redo the brakes and install them yourself. Don't pay extra for something you should have received in the first place. Those clips are pretty important.

I went to NAPA today, they had them in stock, for 79 cents apiece! I was pretty stoked.

I would if I could, but he's in CA, 3000 miles across the ocean. I had brakes done before I moved.
But I agree, he should have taken them off my old shoes and reused them, at least.

Karl, thank you, but I found them locally today. But parts out here can be hard to come by, so I'm sure I'll be ordering from you again in the future.

Oh, here's the NAPA part number: 82304. They came in a NAPA Brakes 10-count box, and they sold me them by the piece, @ .79 each.

That's a good deal. I went to their website, and it was listed for $0.69 each. Here's the link: http://napaautoparts.com/Catalog/Res...&Dk=1&Dp=3&N=0. Maybe the price changes with the zip code?

Oh...I thought you just had the brakes done or something.

I guess 79 cents isn't bad considering the location, but the price might have been lower per piece for the whole box. I like having extras of stuff like that just in case it becomes scarce/expensive again.

I work for a parts store now actually, and the prices vary depending on the market. Like if there's an O'Reilly's, Advance, and Autozone, the prices will be more competitive say there's just an Advance and nothign else around.

I know that the prices at my store are lower then the same parts at a work 20 miles down the road. Just depends on the market.
