Hello All. Just purchased a 2002 Explorer XLT as a 2nd car. Hoping to learn lots and pick up great tips here.

I have to say you guys are making me nervous about the transmission. This Ex has 146K on it and the original transmission. Hopefully I won't have any issues.

With 146K on the clock you may be in good shape...I have heard the most of the trannys on our Ex's that fail happen before that.

So you may have a good one...good luck with her

I just picked her up yesterday so I haven't had time to do any services yet.

I'll put that on the list!
