No pressure when pushing emergency brake?

Hi, so have a 99 xlt and just bought it 3 days ago.. I never noticed this but when I push down the emergency brake pedal there's no pressure in it. It just goes down. I don't know if that's normal or not but if you don't understand I can take a video.

Sounds like you have a stretched parking brake cable. Does the parking brake hold at all?
