How can you get an ignition key for a 2001 Ford Explorer?

If you have to change the ignition cylinder, how can you code to computer?

Dealer should be able to get the original code and code a cylinder to match so you have same ignition and door key. It is a smart key though so you will probably have to tow it in to get it programmed before it will start.
