I drive a 1996 Explorer V6 OHV.
P0174 (bank 2 lean) for the past 6 months.
Missfiring, horrible gas mileage, and lack of power.
No one can seem to find the problem.
Intake manifold gaskets were changed, and and bolts were retorqued, so that elliminates a common problem.
Help?!!

Typical failure points:

Check MAF by unplugging it. If engine runs better with MAF unplugged, you have a bad MAF.

Check fuel pressure. Should be within spec but if it is wrong, depending on which way it's wrong your FPR or pump may be bad.

Check compression for weak cylinder.

Let us know what all you've done and the results.
