My 1997 Explorer was running great and one morning got up to go to work and it was running awful.Very rough idle and it missed. So I thought it was the fuel-i added injection cleaner and fuel additive. Didnt help. I changed plugs and wires(The best ones i could get)Still continued plus what seemed to me to backfire a little. The longer it ran the worse it got.Bought an OBD scanner-cam shaft sensor problems. So i changed that.Thank God for the DIY videos on computer.(only took me three days.Hahaha)Didnt help. Now scanner says Cyl.4 misfire;P0133 O2circuit slow responseBank1Sensor1;P0153 same thing onlyBank2Sensor1. Now What do I do?

I'm not all too certain about your codes, but since no one else has replied, I'll share my story.

After having my '98 XLT for about 2 years, it started this habit of idling REALLY low, around 250rpm at startup, and would stall if I didn't rev it a few times. Asking around some mechanics I knew I was told cylinder misfiring and such, but one told me it could be the throttle body was dirty. Now 3 other mechanics I knew told me this should never happen, but since the work was free, I let the guy (a certified master mechanic) check it out.

He took it apart, cleaned the throttle body real well, and reassembled. Sure enough, after this it fired up like a champ. This may not be your problem, but I was told it could never get dirty, and it did. Good luck.
