Getting ready to swap the VB in my 97. while "shopping around" I came across 800700tran.com and they have a VB w/5yr warranty and comes w/6 latest design reman'd solenoids....

I am looking for anyone who has bought one of their VB's and can leave me some feedback, good or bad.. want to do this job once and need a quality part...

Also if these are ready to be bolted up or do I have to drop the balls in, install springs, ect... I am wanting to get it ordered Monday if possible, so any quick feedback is Very appreciated..

Hmmm, should I "upgrade" for $79 and get one w/the firm shift kit and bonded gasket on seperator plate.. hmmmm, any input appreciated as well.

Link to VB..... http://800700tran.com/prod.itml/icOid/80

Thanks.

Most folks around here use Central Valve Bodies, might be worth checking into.

Thanks.. I checked them out while I was "shopping around" and saw their price vs. 800700tran.com and there is a big difference.. that is kinda why I was hoping that at least a few ppl would chime in that have bought from them... I might just roll the dice and go w/800700tran that way in case they do have quality parts I could help the next guy out and send them their way to save some cash. Plus central only has a 12month warraty I think it was, 800700tran has 5yr and lifetime depending which one you get.

I can get a VB with all updates, bonded gaskets, and upgraded shift kit (and lifetime warranty)for $200.99 shipped to my door. Or they have just the updated VB for $99+sh.. I think it was upwards of $300 shipped from central... idk, im gonna call 800700tran and talk to them so I can get a feel for the company and product and go from there..

I have purchased one eBay VB out of Florida, different outfit I guess, but about the same price after I put my kit in it. Have had no problems, straight up deal in my opinion.

Hmmm, this place is out of FL too...4709 30th Ave south, tampa, florida.. you mentioned something about putting your kit in there, it didn't come ready for install? Just wondering..

I just got off the phone with the people and could barely hear them, didn't answer the phone as a business usually does (w/name and stuff) and didn't seem to thrilled to talk about the product(s).... idk, guess ill keep looking around. Might just pull the VB out of my 98 and throw it in the 97. Hate driving the 98 around anyway cause of the death rattle...

The VB I purchased was updated i.e. blow-off valve, bonded plate, etc., but I put a Superior kit in there that I had on hand. 20,000 miles so far no issues.

Well after searching for VB's for about 2 weeks on and off I decided I am going with central valve bodies after talking w/donny....

Word to the wise, the 800700tran place has a few company names out there, all w/different prices for the same products.... the phone #'s listed on the sites gave that away, seems a little odd/fishy to me.. I wont be buying from them.
