I have the ginger ale. I will say I was hesitant at first. But after time it grows on you. Just like a fine wine. I have always owned green cars. I think because I was coming from Kiwi Green Escape, it made it easier for me. I also notice depending on the light, the shade/intensity is different. I tell the wife it is like a mood ring.

Snoopyto,

That was my original choice - the ginger ale - but then I saw this green on the 13 and had to go for it If we'd have gotten a 12, I'd have gone with Ginger Ale. Sounds cool!

I'm thinking that a nice two-tone combination, Gem over Kodiak, would look sweet! Only thing is, I can't decide where the colors should meet...

Oh yeah, lookin' sweet!! Thinking maybe a gold pinstripe where the two colors meet...

Love the two tone color combo.

If I remember right, about 20 years or so ago Dupont made a paint for ford that had a color transition depending on the angle of veiw.
The care my be a dark purple but as you moved around the light hitting it would cause the car to vary in the shades of color like purple to light blue to dark blue and back.

Now if they could get a color paint job to transition from the green to brown as the veiwing angle changed then my choice would be easier.

Here we go with the gold pinstripe:

I think the pinstripe really sets off the colors.

^ You are certainly right, I think I need mind-altering drugs to properly appreciate that.

Well if lighting does not strike me dead, I will be picking up my 2013 Explorer Saturday morning. My first Ford I will have ever owned.

The preticulars are Kodiak Brown with the 202a package, stone color interior with all leather, power liftgate, 20 inch rims and tow package.

It has about every bell and wistle you can get with out going limited.

Is it a Limited or XLT you are getting? The 202a pkg is the top pkg available on the XLT. Maybe you meant 302a which is the top pkg available on the Limited.

It is the XLT package for 34k plus ttl.

I can't justify a 40k car on my budget but the one I am picking up has just about all the features I want.

Awesome, Kjeffery; congratulations! I’m eager to see the pics of that beauty!

Even if lightning struck you, you’d still pick up your new ride.

That’s an “interesting” design choice, VinceL.

KJeffrey, I have a Kodiak Brown Ex ordered. I ordered the brown without actually seeing it in person. From what I can tell by the pictures online though it's a cool color as well and was the right choice for me...
