2006-2010 Rear Differentials for 2004

Does anyone know if 2006-2010 rear differentials will work/swap out OK in a 2004 model without problems?

I understand Ford fixed the 2002 through 2005 rear differential problems starting with the 2006 model year. Thanks in advance. Mike

I've read here someone who has done it. Can't remember where though. It wasn't simple bolt and go deal. I believe he had to modify the center section on the newer rear to accept the tone ring and sensor for the rear ABS.

yep, compared to my '10 my '04 only has one ABS sensor in the rear Diff. My '04 is AWD and didnt have RSC. The '10 has RSC and two sensors by the rear each by outboard CV joint. With RSC it requires a 4 channel ABS. By chance check yours in '04 i thought it was an option. ABS aside Gear ratio? it might be i'd compare the two if you can, and take pics.
