Water pump hose

Hi

Ready to replace the small hose from the water pump to the thermostat housing. Has anyone done one and if so can it be done without removing the water pump to get the hose on.???

The water pump doesn't have to come off for this. However you may find the removal of the fan would give better access. To remove the fan without a fan spanner, get youself a sharp flat screwdriver (the type with a shaft all the way thro) or a cold chisel. Then give it a sharp rap to turn the nut anti clockwise to loosen it. Then just spin the fan by hand to spin the nut off. You will have to remove the fan shroud to pull it out.

The hose itself is held on with a spring clip either end. You may also find that you have to unbolt the t stat housing (3 bolts thro the top) to get it off and back on.
This pic will show you more

Hope this helps
Jan
