transmission shifting hard why?

it all started when my alternator went bad so i park my truck for 2 days with no battery in it after that i got a new alternator i put it in took it for a spin and i notice it is shifting hard it didnt used to do that could it be the computer maybe it reset it self or something ppl told me it might be in limp mode? help i have no idea what else to do im still using my truck but its shifting pretty hard still so if anyone know please tell me.

easy way to tell if its in limp mode is get to cruising speed 55MPH or more and if your RPM's are higher than 2000-2500 than your in limp mode

Unless your seeing a flashing OD light your not in limp mode. Did you replace the alternator wiring harness when you replaced the alternator? I can speak from experience that when the alternator goes bad its known to take out the 3 prong connector. I would check it out at the very least to see if its melted on the inside and go from there.

ok i dont want to sound like a newbie but the prong connector your talking about are the one to the alternator right on the back of it

and no i didnt replace the wiring harness thank you for helping me i really appreciate it but i do notice when im going at 25 mph it limps like if there a gear broken in the transmission but then again if it was it wouldn't run right well idk a thing i replace the throttle position sensor and now the overdrive doesn't kick in i wonder if its because its a generic brand not the actual one it cost 25 buck at the Napa auto part store and at the dealer they want 75 bucks for it so could that cause my overdrive problem. well idk but this sensor kick in the overdrive when it want to go fast i guess cause when im not flooring it the overdrive kicks in and im like alright it kick it so i floor it and man i can rely feel the power of my truck but when a car gets in my way dam i have to slow down well anyways i forgot i was typing my problem and went into story mode but is cause of that

What your describing sounds like a ECC solenoid, I would start with pulling any codes via the OBDII port. Most transmissions shops will hook up and give you an idea of where to start.
