you may be able to get 3k for it, but not much more than that with 225k on it. It is unfortunate but most of the mods add very little if anything to the resale value unless you stuble across somebody who is looking for exactly what you have

If you want it gone today then $1500, Now if you don't care about waiting a month or so and you advertise it on several internet sites, newspapers ect... then you might be able to get $4000 for it off somebody who has been looking for excatly what you have.

Agree.
The mods scare people & lets be honest no one looking for a normal used car is going to buy that. That leaves a certain segment left.

Agree with the above. Also the lack of AC is going to make it a hard sell in hotter states. Right before winter would be the best time to sell it, but honestly, this forum might be your best bet for a demanding audience. I'd tentatively value it around $2000 if the interior is in great shape and there are NO mechanical issues, but that doesn't mean you can get that much for it. Never know, might be some teenager with a check that decides he has to have it. The impulse buy effect might work well, like on a military base car lot for example.

My opinion on a modded first gen is simply, if you like it, keep it. The small chunk of cash you could sell it for will not be enough when you regret the sale later on.

I agree 100%! If you need a DD, or even a new toy/work truck, then just get one, and set the X aside. You'll come back to it, we all do.

Sadly you never get even close to what you put into a modded auto. Also what is sad is when they get this old and modded too many times there also broken apart as there worth more in parts then as a whole. so with that I agree with many here just fallow the wife and keep it as a toy and then get your new DD and explorer tower and then add a trailer and keep modding it you both will enjoy it more that way and never regret saleing it.
