Whole different v6 and none was sc.you 60ft is not all that bad,i was expecting something crazy like 2.0 you just lost it on top end.what was your mph?yea alt has alot to do with it but if your tuned for it its not that huge, wouldn't think you lose a whole sec or more.if you run the track i would switch tires out to a lighter rim and does look like you need different gears

Yep, I thought it was gears, if I get my reaction time down, and shift better well my 60' time is 2.0 almost 1.9 I know I could of done atleast a high 17 but my shifting needs work -first time at the track you know. Just the question which ratio to regear up to?

Reaction time doesnt effect 60'. Reaction time is the time it takes between the light going green and the tire leaving the 2nd stage beam. Then the ET clock starts.

If you want a better 60', stage shallow. Roll into the 2nd beam very slowly and stop as soon as it flickers on. That will give you a few extra inches to gain speed before you leave the 2nd stage beam. Adjust your reaction time accordingly.

There are beams of light and sensors across your lane. The 1st beam of light that you drive into and block is the pre-stage beam. It turns on the 1st set of bulbs (pre-stage bulbs). The 2nd beam you block is the stage beam, it turns on the stage bulbs.

our local track will be shutting down soon, due to the snow season, but I'll try that next time i get a wednesday off, it sucks cause I work nights.... But I will start to get familiar with the track with the 5.0 I'm building up and gonna convert it into my benz, currently porting some gt40 heads in the basement right now for it.

I would take it back to the tune shop and have them write you a race tune and adjust the other two tunes for w/m.you should pick up alot of power after retune .do you have a way of measuring intake air temps?also i would only go down to 4.10 with that rpm range.

I really don't want to deal with that shop anymore. They kept telling me I need a new this and that over and over again throwing parts at it. I swear I spent over $3k dealing with themjust in tuning crap. They were wanting me to put my stock stuff all back on and 5hit like that. The few other places I been to act dumb when I tell them I have a supercharged v6 explorer. I'd love to have a forum Guy do it but I guess I am way too far for everybody

Wow that means 4.10 is the way to go, I guess most of us didn't notice the gap between 4.10 and 4.56, theres even another ratio between them.

surprising.
Based on that chart, I have 342 gears.
I need to climb underneath and have a look at what the tag says on my diff. It would be a great check for accuracy of the chart.
